Philippines highway development project

A project is being put forward for development work to the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEx) in the Philippines. The expressway will be extended to San Juan, with the work being carried out by San Miguel Holdings. The project is worth an estimated US$441.7 million. The new stretch will feature two lanes in either direction and will run from Rosario to San Juan.

    Construction work is commencing on the project to build a new expressway link in the Philippines. The new road section will link the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) and the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx). The project is costing nearly US$430 million to build and should be ready by 2021. The route will be 8km in length and will feature two lanes in either direction, reducing journey times considerably between the SLEx and the NLEx routes.     Work on a US$245.6 million expressway project is now underway in the Philippines. The 58km-long expressway will improve transport between the Southern Tagalog and Bicol Regions, reducing journey times for drivers while also improving safety. The first section of the Southern Luzon Expressway-Toll Road 4 (SLEX-TR4) to be built will be between Star Toll and Lucena, lying to the south of Manila. The SLEX-TR4 route is being constructed by South Luzon Tollways, itself a subsidiary of the firm San Miguel.
