Philippines expressway extension project planned

San Miguel (SMC) plans to extend the Skyway Stage 3 project in the Philippines. The link will measure close to 15km long and will provide a new route to and from eastern Metro Manila. The US$843.6 million project is intended to carry a high proportion of heavy vehicles, currently using other routes. This six lane stretch of elevated tollroad is being built to provide a link between the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) and South Luzon Expressway (SLEx). San Miguel (SMC) plans to extend the Skyway Stage 3 project in the Philippines. The link will measure close to 15km long and will provide a new route to and from eastern Metro Manila. The US$843.6 million project is intended to carry a high proportion of heavy vehicles, currently using other routes. This six lane stretch of elevated tollroad is being built to provide a link between the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) and South Luzon Expressway (SLEx). The route of the new extension section looks likely to run through C-3, the Pasig River and the San Juan River and will be the last of three phases Metro Manila Skyway System to be built.
