Philippines bridge projects planned

Plans are in hand in the Philippines for a series of bridge construction projects. Two of the key bridge projects are for links between Luzon and Samar Island and from Leyte Island to Surigao. The work is expected to cost some US$3.85 billion. Construction work could commence in early 2018.

    A new tunnel in Poland is being proposed to improve transport links between Uznam Island, Woznin Island, Karsibor Island and the country’s mainland. The EU is supplying funding worth close to €179 million, which should pay for 85% of the costs associated with the project.
