Parsons wins US-Canada bridge contract

Parsons has won a three-year contract from the Michigan Department of Transportation to carry out work on the Blue Water Bridge. The firm will provide structural services for the Michigan-owned portion of The Blue Water Bridge, which crosses the St Clair River and connects Routes I-94/I-69 in Port Huron, Michingan, with Highway Route 402 in Point Edward, Ontario, Canada.

3220 Parsons has won a three-year contract from the Michigan Department of Transportation to carry out work on the Blue Water Bridge. The firm will provide structural services for the Michigan-owned portion of The Blue Water Bridge, which crosses the St Clair River and connects Routes I-94/I-69 in Port Huron, Michingan, with Highway Route 402 in Point Edward, Ontario, Canada. This twin-span international bridge links Canada and the United States and is the second busiest crossing between the two countries.

The three-year contract covers structural engineering, inspection, structural design, emergency repair consultation, general studies and reports, and as-needed engineering services for the Blue Water Bridge, approach bridges, and mechanically stabilised earth (MSE) walls.
