Paraguay road project tender opening

The tender process is opening in Paraguay for a new stretch of the 557km Transchaco road. The work for this section is expected to cost US$101.3 million. The firms winning the deals for the Transchaco road sections will have to maintain these stretches of the route for four years under the terms of each agreement.     Paraguay’s Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) is this year said to be planning to invest US$500 million in the South American country’s roads. Instead Paraguay’s Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) says that the bidding will commence on 29th June 2016. This delay follows requests by some participants in this process.
