Paraguay project progressing to plan

Paraguay’s Bi-Oceanic Road project is progressing to plan.

Construction work for Paraguay’s Bi-Oceanic Road project is progressing to plan. Building of the route is being carried out by a consortium, Consorcio Corredor Vial Bioceanico, which comprises Queiroz Galvao and Ocho A.

So far 106km of the 277km route has been built. The project is costing an estimated US$445 million to construct and the work is being overseen by Paraguay’s Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).

    Argentina’s Transport Ministry will carry out a major programme for road tenders at the end of 2016. In all work on 15,000km of road projects will be put out to tender. The total estimated cost of these works has yet to be revealed however. A new tender process is also underway for Argentina’s Route 3 project.   • Paraguayan projects proposed

    Transport infrastructure projects in Paraguay are gathering pace. The country’s Ministry for Public Works and Communications says that work for the first two stretches of the Transchaco road upgrade project will commence in the third quarter of 2019. The work is being carried out in eight stretches and is expected to cost a total of US$605 million in all.
