Panama City will benefit from four road contracts worth a total of US$112.4 million awarded to deal with transport upgrades.

Panama City will benefit from four road contracts worth a total of US$112.4 million awarded to deal with transport upgrades. A Colombian contractor 1336 Conalvias will construct new viaducts over Avendia de Los Martires and Avenida La Amistad, in deals worth US$29.3 million and $20.5 million respectively. The Panama-based contractor 2543 Transcaribe Trading will transform the transport infrastructure of Tocumen in a deal worth $35.9 million. Contractor 1334 MCM Global Consorcio Intersecciones will handle bridge project over Avenida Omar Torrijos and Constructora Meco worth $22.5 million and $24.7 million respectively. The work is being carried out for the 1337 Panamanian Ministry Of Public Works (MOP) and is due for completion in the first half of 2012.
