Pan Borneo Highway in focus for tenders

A series of major infrastructure projects in Malaysia are attracting strong interest from prospective bidders. The series of infrastructure projects forms part of the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP). Firms keen to participate in the tender process include UEM Edgenta, Bina Puri Holdings and Nexgram Holdings. One of the biggest projects planned is for the Pan Borneo Highway. A series of major infrastructure projects in Malaysia are attracting strong interest from prospective bidders. The series of infrastructure projects forms part of the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP). Firms keen to participate in the tender process include UEM Edgenta, Bina Puri Holdings and Nexgram Holdings. One of the biggest projects planned is for the Pan Borneo Highway. In all this is expected to be worth some US$7.18 billion. The start of the works for the 1,663km road has yet to be defined but the route should be complete and open to traffic by 2023.

    A series of tenders for major highway, tunnel and road repair projects are being opened in Brazil. The country’s national transport infrastructure department, DNIT, has set out plans for a series of tenders, all of which form part of phase 2 of the country's growth acceleration plan, PAC. The first of the key projects opening for tender will be the new Morro dos Cavalos tunnel, which will be constructed in the southern state of Santa Catarina. This 1.36km tunnel will be built in the city of Palhoça and form
