Oman announces major infrastructure investment programme

The authorities in Oman have plans for a major programme of infrastructure investments. Tenders for a series of projects worth close to US$360 million have now been awarded. The projects include construction of the South Al Batinah Expressway. This is package 5 of the expressway project and construction of this section will cost £344.4 million.

    Algeria’s Public Works Ministry has announced it plans to build new expressway connections to the country’s East-West highway. These expressways will link the Algeria’s ports to the East-West highway, with the aim of reducing congestion and improving traffic flow.     South Korea has announced a programme of works that will see the country’s national road network being extended by over 900km. The budget of US$6.41 billion for the work has been set by the South Korean Government.
