OHL working on new Mexican highway projects

Spanish firm OHL’s subsidiary, OHL Concesiones, will carry out a series of highway projects in Mexico. The company has a loan facility of US$404.6 million to carry out highway work in Mexico. At present OHL operates six highway concessions in Mexico. Three of these highways are open to traffic, with a further two under construction at present and work on the last due to commence shortly.

  • OHL’s debut Texas contract for US$142mn highway renewal

    Spanish construction firm OHL has secured its first highway works contract in the US state of Texas. The US$142 million contract will see the company renew a 3.2km section of the US-290, which runs through the Lone Star state. Building new bridges, highway resurfacing and drainage improvements are key features of the contract. The work is part of the widening programme for the US-290.     Work is now complete on the US$76.3 million highway project providing a key link between the North and the South of Vietnam at Da Nang city. This 13km project was carried out by Spanish contractor OHL, having been awarded in 2014 by Vietnam Expressway Corporation. Financing for the work came from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
