Norway contract tender attracts bids

Interest is said to be strong for the project to build the Mjøsa bridge and E6 route connecting Moelv with Roterud in Norway. The project includes building a bridge spanning Lake Mjøsa as well as a 9.4km stretch of road. Five consortia have prequalified for the bidding process. The project is worth €262 million and Norway’s state-owned road business Nye Veier is expected to award the contract in the second quarter of 2020, with planned to commence in the first quarter of 2021.

  • Malta offers more residential road upgrade contracts

    Infrastructure Malta, the government’s road agency, is putting out to tender contracts for the upgrade of 170 residential roads worth around €70 million. The work is divided into six contracts and covers a total of 52km of roads as well as 85km of pavement/sidewalks, signage and where necessary stormwater improvements.     Planning is underway for the highway connecting Moscow with Kazan, via Nizhny Novgorod. The tendering process will commence in 2020, with construction then expected to commence in either late 2020 or early 2021.
