Although the vast majority of the work has been carried out on the new bypass some finishing works remain to be completed. The bypass has long been needed to provide a connection between the A2 and A30 routes. Until now drivers wanting to connect from one to the other have either had to pass through Bad Oeynhausen or take a detour around the town, both of which have resulted in delays.
