Indonesia’s Government is building 1,520km of new roads on Papua and West Papua. The work is proving challenging as Papua and West Papua both feature harsh terrain. The Indian government has announced plans to build a six-lane expressway between Ludhiana in Punjab and New Delhi. Road Transport and Highways Minister CP Joshi said the states of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab gave an in-principle approval for the construction of the 357km long expressway. The Delhi to Ludhiana stretch will be 266km, while a spur of 91km will be built to Chandigarh. The Philippines Government is unveiling 15 key infrastructure projects worth a total of US$14 billion over the next 12 months. These will form part of the PPP project programme proposed by the Philippines Government. The projects include the $1.44 billion Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike project and the $313.16 million Motor Vehicle Inspection System.
