Work is commencing on the S3 expressway project in Poland. Costing €355 million, the expressway will connect Bolko with Kamienna Gora Polnoc. A consrtium headed by Porr will handle the work, which is due for completion in the second half of 2023. The project will be complex as it will included two building tunnels as well as 12 bridges and flyovers.
A new expressway project is being planned in Vietnam. The expressway will connect Soc Trang Province and Can Tho City to An Giang Province's Chau Doc city. Half of the necessary funding will be supplied by the Vietnamese Government, with development funding and private sources likely to provide the rest of the financing required. The 200km highway will feature two lanes in either direction and will cost some US$1.27 billion to build. Construction should start in 2024 and be complete in 2026.
Work to the third section of Bangkok’s expressway project is being planned in Thailand. A section of the new expressway will use existing pillars on Prasert Manoonkij Road, constructed originally for a project that was subsequently abandoned in 1994. The new expressway section will connect the Kasetsart intersection with Nawamin Road. It will also connect with the Bang Yai intersection. The work is being carried out in two phases. The contract for a major new expressway project in China has been won by a consortium. The Guizhou Jianhe-Liping Expressway should cost close to US$1.9 billion to build and take three years to construct.
