New Vietnam highway construction starting

Construction work is starting on Vietnam’s Van Don-Mong Cai highway. Located in Quang Ninh Province in the north east of Vietnam, the 80km highway will feature two lanes in either direction. Costing US$471.6 million, the project is expected to take nearly two years to complete.     The highways authorities in Vietnam intend to increase the percentage of roads and highways built from concrete. A pilot project will see the construction of a 25km highway link connecting the Cau Gie-Ninh Binh and Hanoi-Haiphong expressways.
