New Vietnam highway construction starting

Construction work is starting on Vietnam’s Van Don-Mong Cai highway. Located in Quang Ninh Province in the north east of Vietnam, the 80km highway will feature two lanes in either direction. Costing US$471.6 million, the project is expected to take nearly two years to complete. Construction work is starting on Vietnam’s Van Don-Mong Cai highway. Located in Quang Ninh Province in the north east of Vietnam, the 80km highway will feature two lanes in either direction. Costing US$471.6 million, the project is expected to take nearly two years to complete. The project is expected to help develop tourism in the coastal province, which is famed for its scenic islands and beaches.

The 25km highway is costing some US$476 million to construct, with some 60% of the funding coming from the JBIC Bank and SE Group providing around 20%.
