A new bridge project is being planned for Serbia. The structure will span the Zapadna Morava River. The expected cost of the work has not so far been disclosed. Building the bridge will however improve access for construction work on the Prejina to Pozega highway.

    Plans are in hand for a new bridge to span the Lena River near Yakutsk in Russia. The project is expected to cost US$1.95 billion. The bridge will take six years to design and construct, with the project being handled under the PPP model. Private investors will maintain the bridge over an eight year period, with payments being made by the Russian State.     In Ecuador plans are being drawn up for a new bridge connecting Duran with the port city of Guayaquil. The bridge will span the Guayas River and is expected to cost US$800 million to build. The project had been proposed by the former administration but stalled and has now been revived by the current administration. The link would provide a new connection for Highway 40, cutting journey times considerably. The planned location for the new bridge has not so far been clarified.
