New road project for Sydney

Road widening work is being planned for Sydney, New South Wales in Australia. The project encompasses widening a 3km stretch of Prospect Highway to four lanes and a 2.2km section of Memorial Avenue to four lanes also. Both sections features just two lanes at present and the work is expected to cost US$211.6 million (A$300 million). The tendering process is due to commence shortly, with construction planned to start in late 2019. The work will include building new bridges over the M4 Highway and Great Wester

Road widening work is being planned for Sydney, New South Wales in Australia. The project encompasses widening a 3km stretch of Prospect Highway to four lanes and a 2.2km section of Memorial Avenue to four lanes also. Both sections features just two lanes at present and the work is expected to cost US$211.6 million (A$300 million). The tendering process is due to commence shortly, with construction planned to start in late 2019. The work will include building new bridges over the M4 Highway and Great Western Highway to carry the extra traffic lanes. It will also include upgrades to the on and off ramps to the M4 Highway and Great Western Highway, as well as provision for pedestrians and cyclists.

    Construction work on the important Loko-Oweto Bridge project in Nigeria should be complete in May 2019. The project has cost around US$141 million, with contractor Reynolds Construction Company having started work on the 1.8km structure in 2011. Spanning the River Benue, the bridge forms part of the 108km road link connecting Otukpo with Oweto and improves transport connections between Benue State and Nasarawa State.
