New New Zealand tunnel for North Island

The tender process is ending for the tunnel project to construct a new tunnel in New Zealand. The route of the new tunnel runs through the Manawatu Gorge in Tararua District. When the tunnel is complete it will provide and improved link between the east and west at the southern end of New Zealand’s North Island.

    The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) said it is on track to announce tender winners for two bridges, across the Msikaba River and Mtentu River, by the end of the year. The final stretch will connect Algeria with Tunisia and construction of this section is due to restart before the end of 2017.
