Construction work is due to commence shortly for Indonesia’s Gilimanuk-Mengwi Toll Road. Located in Bali, the route will measure 97km in length.
The route is planned to be built in three separate stretches, from Soka-Mengwi, from Pekutatan-Soka and from Gilimanuk-Pekutatan. A notable feature of the route is that it will feature facilities for cyclists, the first time these have been incorporated into a new toll road project in Indonesia.
The project is costing US$1.72 billion and the project is being handled by Tol Jagat Kerthi Bali, which has a 50-year concession deal for the link.
