New highway projects planned for Algeria

Plans are moving ahead in Algeria for key highway projects. Algeria’s public works ministry has revealed that preparatory work for the Transrhumel viaduct in Constantine will be completed by the end of 2013. The Transrhumel viaduct is being constructed by the Andrade-Gutierrez consortium to a Brazilian design.

Plans are moving ahead in Algeria for key highway projects. Algeria’s public works ministry has revealed that preparatory work for the Transrhumel viaduct in Constantine will be completed by the end of 2013. The Transrhumel viaduct is being constructed by the Andrade-Gutierrez consortium to a Brazilian design. The viaduct will connect through to the East-West highway and Mohamed-Boudiaf Airport. It is due for completion in the first quarter of 2014. Meanwhile a group of technical directors and local officials will help plan the construction project for the new highway that will link Jijel with Sétif. This commission’s first meeting was also attended by the regional director of Algeria’s national motorway agency (ANA).
