New Australia route in Victoria

Work is set to commence on a new bypass in Australia’s Victoria State in 2019, with the work planned for completion in 2022. The new Mordialloc Bypass will run from the existing Dingley Bypass to the Mornington Peninsula Freeway. The project is expected to cost US$226.3 million (A$300 million).

The US$1.41 billion (A$1.5 billion) project is being carried out by a consortium led by Spanish contrator Acciona, with construction due to commence at the end of this year.   • Colombia road project - completion date announced

    The completion date for Colombia’s massive Cambao-Manizales 4G road project has now been announced. The improved road link should now be read for traffic in mid-2022, according to Colombia's national infrastructure agency (ANI). The financing package for the Cambao-Manizales road project should be secured in the second half of 2019 and the construction work should commence in 2020.   • Renovating Russian route from St Petersburg region to Karelia Republic

    Rebuilding the A-121 route connecting St Petersburg with Sortavala in the Karelia Republic will commence soon. The project is costing US$118.5 million. The work will be carried out over a 20km stretch of the highway and involves widening the roadway so that it features two lanes in either direction. Completion is expected at the end of 2019 and the work will boost the capacity on the route to over 14,000 vehicles/day.
