Moscow to build over 200km of roads in next three years

Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Town-Planning Policy and Construction Marat Khusnullin says over 200km of roads and 60km of subway lines will be built in the city in the next three years. A total 46 transport facilities will also be constructed, the Deputy Mayor has confirmed.

    The tender process is opening for a tunnel section as well as linking roads for a project in Moscow. The project will form part of the Stolbovo transport hub. The tunnel will measure 1,.47km long, while the project includes building 7km of roads in Moscow’s Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts (TNAD) in the south west of the city. Also included in the work will be a 2670km overpass section as well as utilities and the construction phase has to be completed within a 17 month period.

    Paraguay’s Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) is this year said to be planning to invest US$500 million in the South American country’s roads. The figure is said to be part of a proposed infrastructure investment of $7.66 billion for the period 2013-2016. Among the 2014 road projects will be the estimated $84.46 million repair of Route 8 -72.9kms – put out to tender by the MOPC in December 2013. All bids must be submitted on 29 January 2014.
