Construction of Montenegro’s Bar-Bolijare highway project is being accelerated. This will ensure that the work remains on schedule and will be able to meet the planned completion date.

Construction of Montenegro’s Bar-Bolijare highway project is being accelerated. This will ensure that the work remains on schedule and will be able to meet the planned completion date. The project is being carried out by Chinese contractor China Roads and Bridges Company (CRBC). The firm is building the stretch from Podgorica to Matesevo, with the work look set to remain within the planned €194 million budget. So far 16 of the necessary construction permits have been awarded for the project with another due for approval shortly.

  • China’s Exim Bank to fund two new Macedonia highways

    The Chinese Exim Bank is providing much of the funding for two highway projects in Macedonia. The construction work will be carried out by a Chinese contractor, which has signed a deal with the Macedonian Government. The Chinese Sinohydro Corporation will build two stretches of highway linking Kicevo-Ohrid and Miladinovci-Stip. These will measure 56.7km and 53km long, respectively.     Argentina’s Transport Ministry will carry out a major programme for road tenders at the end of 2016. In all work on 15,000km of road projects will be put out to tender.
