Construction of Montenegro’s Bar-Bolijare highway project is being accelerated. This will ensure that the work remains on schedule and will be able to meet the planned completion date.

Construction of Montenegro’s Bar-Bolijare highway project is being accelerated. This will ensure that the work remains on schedule and will be able to meet the planned completion date. The project is being carried out by Chinese contractor China Roads and Bridges Company (CRBC). The firm is building the stretch from Podgorica to Matesevo, with the work look set to remain within the planned €194 million budget. So far 16 of the necessary construction permits have been awarded for the project with another due for approval shortly.

    Consulting engineer Cowi has been appointed adviser on bridge and tunnel work for the Smokovac-Uvac-Matesevo section of the 170km Bar-Boljare highway in Montenegro. The Smokovac-Uvac-Matesevo section is a priority project for the Bar-Boljare highway project that will eventually run north to south from Montenegro's main sea port of Bar to the Serbian border.
