Mexico road project, construction resumed

Construction work has restarted for Mexico’s Oaxaca-Ventanilla-Huatulco road project. The project has been delayed for around 10 years and is expected to cost around US$189 million to carry out. The new highway will connect Oaxaca with Ventanilla and Huatulco.

    Mexico's Secretariat for Transport and Communications (SCT) has released US$2.01 billion (MXN 27 billion) for road work tenders to be carried out in 2014. In total, $4.489 billion (MXN 60 billion) will be spent on such projects this year.
