The SPE link should be open to traffic in 2020 and the route will be the first in the country to feature sophisticated electronic, multi-lane, free-flow tolling technology. The project is being carried out as a concession package for the expressway's design, construction, completion, management, operation and maintenance. The concession period is for 53 years and six months.
