Malaysia highway deal awarded

A major highway contract has been awarded in Malaysia worth US$359.43 million. The work will be carried out by a joint venture team comprising Kimlun and Zecon. The work involves building sections of new road and upgrading existing infrastructure for the Sarawak Pan-Borneo highway project. The contract was awarded by Malaysian highway operator Lebuhraya Borneo Utara. The joint venture partners will carry out the construction and upgrading work between Pantu junction and the Serian roundabout under phase one

A major highway contract has been awarded in Malaysia worth US$359.43 million. The work will be carried out by a joint venture team comprising Kimlun and Zecon. The work involves building sections of new road and upgrading existing infrastructure for the Sarawak Pan-Borneo highway project. The contract was awarded by Malaysian highway operator Lebuhraya Borneo Utara. The project is due for completion by March 2020.

    Bidding is underway in Malaysia for sections of the massive Pan Borneo Highway project. The Malaysian construction firm Gadang Holdings is planning to bid for a number of sections of the project. The company will submit its bid for the highway work in early 2020. The sections of the project it is tendering for have a total estimated value of just over US$223 million although the firm has yet to disclose details of its bid for the work.

The firms will handle the Interstate 64 (I-64) Southside Widening and High Rise Bridge, Phase 1 design-build contract, which was awarded by the Virginia Department of Transportation. Construction work for the US$410 million joint venture project is scheduled to commence in November 2017 and should be completed in July 2021.
