The transport authorities in Israel have published the tender documents for a project to build the South Ra'anana Interchange. The project is expected to cost US$250 million and will feature a three level interchange, with the design requiring the elevation of the new Road 531 above the existing Road 4. Below this interchange a 1.825km long tunnel will be bored to make way for rail tracks and the construction of a new station. The project will be implemented under a design build model, with the winning bidder planning and constructing the interchange to a set of predefined schedules.
