Major Indonesian highway project on track

Indonesia’s Trans Papua road is due to be completed in 2018, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. This 847km road is being constructed in stages and is intended to boost both trade and transport. The project is expected to cost up to US$867.52 million to complete.

    Work is progressing on an important toll road project in Indonesia that will link Bogor, Sukabumi and Ciawi in West Java. The construction work is being carried out by Trans Jabar Tol, a subsidiary of state-owned firm Waskita Karya.     A series of major highway projects are now moving ahead in Indonesia. One of the projects is for part of the Trans-Java Toll Road. Work is now starting to build the route and this new 759km toll road will connect Surabaya and Jakarta.
