Major highway project awarded in Mexico

Mexican construction firm Impulsora del Desarrollo y el Empleo en America Latina (Ideal) has won a major US$623.4 million contract to construct the Macrolibramiento de Guadalajara link in the country. This link is for a large-scale ring road in Mexico’s Guadalajara metropolitan zone.

    Despite concerns from infrastructure groups, the Mexican government will not to extend the deadline for bids for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the La Raza-Indios Verdes-Santa Clara motorway.     OHL Mexico, a subsidiary of Spanish construction firm OHL, has confirmed it will bid for the construction and operation contract for Mexico’s La Raza-Indios Verdes-Santa Clara motorway.
