Major highway and road tenders to be released in Oman

A major series of tenders will be released in Oman shortly. In all the tenders will be for some 1,300km of roads. The projects will be for new road links as well as for widening existing routes. One of the key projects is for work to turn the 715km Nizwa-Thumrait road into a dual carriageway.     Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) is announcing tenders for the construction of a series of major routes. One key stretch is for a 41km section of the S14 dual carriageway, which will link the A2 highway with the S8 dual carriageway and which will constitute Lodz's western ring-road. According to declarations of the Polish Infrastructure and Development Ministry, work on the S14 project will commence in 2016.
