Major Chinese highway project commencing

In China work is commencing on the Mulei-Wutongdaquan highway. The work will be carried out in China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and is costing close to US$2.6 billion. The highway will feature four lanes, with two in either direction and will measure 515km long. The project will form the last section of the Beijing-Urumqi Expressway to be completed.

  • Progress is being made with Serbia’s Corridor 11 highway project

    Work is underway in Serbia for the Corridor 11 highway project and a number of local firms are now carrying out construction work on the Corridor 11 section from Ub to Lajkovac.     In China a new 88km highway is planned that will connect Chengde with capital Beijing. The highway will connect Chengde in Hebei Province to Beijing's Pinggu district. The project will cost some US$1.32 billion. The route will feature a design speed of 100km/h. Construction work on the Chengde section of the highway is due to commence in 2014.
