Kuwait mega-project due to start

South Korean firm Hyundai Engineering and Construction looks to have won the deal to build a massive causeway project in Kuwait. The firm offered a bid of US$2.6 billion. The causeway will be named after the late emir Shaikh Jaber al-Ahmad al Sabah. This 25km causeway will connect Kuwait’s northern Subbiya area with Kuwait City.

According to Brazil's Land Transport Agency (ANTT), at least six groups, most Brazilian, have shown interest in the project.     Work is being planned on Melbourne's M80 ring road upgrade. This A$2.25 billion project is intended to cut congestion at peak periods, boost safety and reduce journey times for commuters and freight traffic.
