A new bridge is planned for the busy A40 Autobahn route, which will be constructed at a busy intersection close to Duisburg.

A new bridge is planned for the busy A40 Autobahn route, which will be constructed at a busy intersection close to Duisburg. The bridge will stretch for 4.4km in all and construction is expected to commence in 2020, with the work being handled in two phases. The A40 route is important as it connects with the Netherlands and carries a high percentage of heavy truck traffic.

    A series of major road transport projects are moving ahead in Colombia, with the country’s national infrastructure agency (ANI), handling most of the deals. Poland’s highways authority, GDDKiA, is analysing the four potential routes for the S10 road, which will connect with Warsaw’s outer ring road, itself still to be completed. The different routes have estimated costs ranging from €5.34 billion to €5.99 billion and all connect with the A1, though at different intersections. Financing for the work should be secured by 2020, with tendering expected in 2025 and construction due to commence in 2026.
