Italian firm handling Polish contract

In Poland a road contract worth some €103.74 million will be carried out by Italian firm Impresa Pizzarotti. The project is for a section of the S61 dual carriageway between Lomza Zachod junction and Kolno junction. The tender process was handled by the Polish road authority, GDDKiA.

In Poland a road contract worth some €103.74 million will be carried out by Italian firm Impresa Pizzarotti. The project is for a section of the S61 dual carriageway between Lomza Zachod junction and Kolno junction. The tender process was handled by the Polish road authority, 1361 GDDKiA.

    Poland is planning to enter seven transport projects to the Connecting Europe Programme, with these having a combined value close to €2.86 billion. Among the planned projects are the S61 express road between the Lithuanian border and Augustow.     In Poland a legal case is now underway concerning the A4 highway project. The construction firm PBG has launched a case against Poland’s road authority, GDDKiA. The dispute centres on the stretch of the A4 linking Krzyyz and Debica Pustynia. Also involved in the case are the administrator Aprivia, and the contractor SIAC Construction. The contract to build the section of A4 was lost by the contractors in 2012 and the dispute centres on which body was at fault, with substantial claims for payment being made.
