Israel's new highway tunnels close to completion

The complex Carmel tunnel project in Israel is close to completion and due to open to traffic at the end of this year. The project features twin tunnels that run parallel to each other for 6km, as well as an interchange with seven overpasses. The tunnels will be the longest underground highway sections in the country once they are opened to traffic.
