Construction activity has now commenced on Iran's new Persian Gulf Bridge project.

Construction activity has now commenced on Iran's new Persian Gulf Bridge project. The US$909.5 million project is for a 2.2km long bridge that will connect Iran's mainland to Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf. Iran's Government is funding 15% of the project with the remaining 85% coming from local and foreign investors.

The Thai Ha Bridge will connect Thai Binh Province and Ha Nam Province with the Ninh Binh highway in Cau Gie Province.     A massive bridge project in China is due to commence shortly. The work involves the construction of a bridge that will be nearly 20km long and the project is expected to cost close to US$672 million in all. The bridge will run from Xiangzhou district and connect through to Zhuhai city. The structure is expected to be ready to carry traffic in May 2017.
