Interest strong in Mexico road concession

Interest is strong in the project to build and operate La Raza-Indios Verdes-Santa Clara road concession in Mexico. Seven firms have expressed interest in the La Raza-Indios Verdes-Santa Clara road concession. Caabsa, Constructora Garza Ponce, Ideal, Idinsa, OHL Mexico, Omega and Pinfra and are all in the running for the project at present. Interest is strong in the project to build and operate La Raza-Indios Verdes-Santa Clara road concession in Mexico. Seven firms have expressed interest in the La Raza-Indios Verdes-Santa Clara road concession. Caabsa, Constructora Garza Ponce, Ideal, Idinsa, 5494 OHL Mexico, Omega and Pinfra and are all in the running for the project at present. The winner of the tender process for the 10km route will be announced on 21st April 2016. The road will be built under the public-private partnership model and the concession package will be for 30 years. The project will require investments of over US$317 million.

    Spanish construction firm, OHL, has presented an offer to operate the 56km Guadalajara-Colima motorway in Mexico for 12 years. The motorway is being heavily restructured, with the expansion of its four lanes. The first phase of these works has already been completed and investment to date has totalled US $ 54.81million.     A major upgrade of Mexico’s Atizapan-Atlacomulco road link is being planned. The work is expected to commence in 2016 and will cost in the region of US$182.63 million. The project will be carried out by OHL Mexico, the Mexican subsidiary of Spanish form OHL. Once the upgrade is complete, the route will be able to carry heavier traffic volumes than at present and the extra capacity will cut delays on the route, as well as increasing safety.
