Indonesia’s new planned toll road

Plans are being drawn up in Indonesia for development work to the Route 1 road link connecting Demak to Tuban and Gresik on the island of Java. The road tolling company Waskita Toll Road is working on the plans for the 236km route and will carry out a pre-feasibility study. The project is likely to be handled in partnership between Waskita Toll Road and Jasa Marga.

    Indonesian state-owned construction firm Waskita Karya will seek a bank loan of US$338 million for its work on the Pejagan-Pemalang toll project in central Java island. The project is being managed by Pejagan Pemalang Toll Road, a subsidiary of Waskita Karya.     A proposed toll road project for the Indonesian island of Java is now being evaluated. The feasibility study for the project is being carried out by the Priority Infrastructure Preparation Committee (KPPIP).
