Construction work on much of Indonesia’s important Trans-Sumatra Toll road should be complete by 2024. Work is underway at present on several sections of the route.
These include the 189km Terbanggi Besar-Permatang Panggang-Kayu Agung section, the 140.41km Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar section, the 131km Pekanbaru-Dumai section, the 22km Palembang-Indralaya section, the 13km Sigil-Banda Aceh section and the 3.2km Medan-Binjai section.
One of the most important road stretches being built at present is for the the Merak Port-Bakauheni Port route. This will help with traffic flow for the Merak-Bakauheni-Lampung area.
