Hungarian road development works

New Hungarian road development works are being planned.

Work is being planned in Hungary for the construction of a section of the M83 route. The project is costing around €406.2 million and the work will connect Gyor with Papa.

Building the 36km stretch of the M83 will commence at the end of 2020 and should be complete by 2023. Gyor lies on the route of Hungary’s M1 highway in the north of country, so the new M83 will provide a faster link for Papa to this important route.

    Vietnam is pushing ahead with a series of road, highway and bridge projects that will improve the country’s transport network. Feasibility studies for three stretches of the North-South Expressway have been received by Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport (MoT).   • Norway-Russia road connection improvement

    An improved road link will boost transport between Norway and Russia. The two countries have already spend around US$160 million to upgrade the road link that connection between the two. A 25km stretch is connecting Norway’s Sor-Varanger municipality with Russia’s Pechengsky District in the Murmansk Region.
