German company designing Indian road tunnels

German consultant Bernard Ingenieure is to work on the design of three major road tunnels in India.

German consultant 3505 Bernard Ingenieure is to work on the design of three major road tunnels in India. The tunnels are planned for the state of Himachal Pradesh (HP). The projects are expected to be worth some US$145 million. Bernard Ingenieure won the design deal against tough international competition from US-based 1397 AECOM and Austrian joint venture Geoconsult Seon & Euro Studio. Under the terms of its contract, Bernard Ingenieure now has 12 months to complete the design.
