Financing is in place for key Italian highway

In Italy funding is being found to finance work to the Livorno-Civitavecchia highway. Some €2 billion worth of private funding is to be made available for the Livorno-Civitavecchia highway project. This funding stream is being set in place due to framework changes being made by CIPE, the Italian interdepartmental committee for economic planning. This will now pave the way for banks to fund the project. Construction works are already underway on a 15km section of the highway.

  • China’s Guizhou Province establishes road expansion project

    China’s Guizhou Province is setting out a massive budget for road expansion to boost access to rural areas. This will see the construction of some 50,000km of roads in 2018. In all US$3.15 billion is being spent on road development. So far 35,000km of road projects are underway in Guizhou Province with nearly 9,400km of road jobs already having been completed.     The EC has given its approval for funding to construct the section of the D1 highway that will connect Hubova with Ivachnova. The EC will provide €169.2 million for the project. In all the 15.3km section of the highway will cost €227.26 million to construct, with the remainder being provided by the state budget.
