EC approves Slovakian highway project

The EC has given its approval for funding to construct the section of the D1 highway that will connect Hubova with Ivachnova. The EC will provide €169.2 million for the project. In all the 15.3km section of the highway will cost €227.26 million to construct, with the remainder being provided by the state budget. The construction is being carried out by a consortium combining Czech company OHL ZS and Slovak firm Vahostav SK. The work is now underway and the highway is expected to be open to traffic by June 2

The EC has given its approval for funding to construct the section of the D1 highway that will connect Hubova with Ivachnova. The EC will provide €169.2 million for the project.     Approval has been given for a major highway upgrade project in Taiwan. The Provincial Highway No 9 runs North-South and connects Hualien County with Taitung County. This route will be widened along a 41km stretch that lies between the Muguaxi Bridge and the border between the counties of Hualien and Taitung.     Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) reports that that the three bids for the Czestochowa A1 motorway section exceed the agency’s budget.
