Czech road project tenders opening

A series of major road projects are being offered for tender in the Czech Republic. The eight projects will cost in excess of €384 million. Further road project tenders will open in a few months. The work is needed as the Czech Republic scores poorly in terms of how many motorway link it has in comparison with many of its neighbours. A series of major road projects are being offered for tender in the Czech Republic. The eight projects will cost in excess of €384 million. Further road project tenders will open in a few months. The work is needed as the Czech Republic scores poorly in terms of how many motorway link it has in comparison with many of its neighbours. One of the projects being planned is for a 13km motorway section connecting Belotin with Novy Jicin. Another major project is for the Brno to Zabovresky ring road, one is for upgrades to a 10km stretch of the D1 route between Devet Krizu and Ostrovacice and other is for the link connecting Humpolec with Vetrny and Jenikov.

In capital Prague, the Czech contractor Metrostave has now completed the drilling portion of the Letna section of the Blanka road tunnel.     The Czech division of Eurovia has won a €126 million contract for a section of the D35 motorway. The Czech road and motorway management company RSD sealed the deal Eurovia, part of the Vinci Group, for construction of 14.7km between Casy and Ostrov, in the Pardubice region. Eurovia submitted a bid of nearly €126 million for the work that the government and the European Union had estimated in 2016 might cost around €194 million.     The Czech transport minister has given construction firm Eurovia until April to start repairs on two bridges it built or face having its bank guarantees withdrawn.
