Croatia road and bridge projects

China Road and Bridges Corporation (CRBC) is the main contractor for Croatia’s Peljeski road and bridge construction project. A number of local firms are in discussions regarding sub-contracts for the project. The link will cost around €264 million to construct. The Croatian firm Brodosplit is in discussions to supply the 70,000tonnes of steel required for the bridge.

    Croatia’s roads agency Hrvatske Ceste will soon start evaluating tenders for the controversial Peljeski Bridge project, according to national media.     Croatian media are reporting a dispute between two consortia and that of the China Road and Bridges over the Peljeski bridge project.   • Croatia bridge project underway again

    Construction work is underway once more for Croatia’s Peljesac Bridge project. The 2.4km bridge is being built by Chinese contractor China Road and Bridge Corporation. The structure should be complete in 2021 and is expected to cost €420 million, of which €357 million is being provided by the European Community.
