Croatia digs deep to finance River Sava bridge into Bosnia
Croatia is to pay €70 million as its share for a bridge across the River Sava near Gradiska, in Republika Srpska, part of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
A year ago, the European Commission set aside a €6.8 million grant for construction of the bridge.

Bosnia has signed a European loan agreement worth €750 million for several sections of work on the Corridor 5V motorway project. Denis Zvizdic, head of government for Bosnia and Herzegovina, said the deal was signed in London during a recent investment conference on the western Balkans. Of the loan amount, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will get €500 million and the internal but autonomous Republika Srpska will receive €250 million. Croatia’s public procurement body has rejected complaints by all three international consortia over a winning low tender for the Peljeski bridge.
