Cost of Denmark-German link

Discussions on a new link between Denmark and Germany continue with Denmark's Transport Ministry publishing data showing that the proposed bridge option would be more costly than a tunnel.

Discussions on a new link between Denmark and Germany continue with 2864 Denmark's Ministry of Transport publishing data showing that the proposed bridge option would be more costly than a tunnel.

The bridge, at some 19km long, would link Danish island Lolland with the German island Fehmarn and is expected to cost €5.16 billion, a €765 million increase on original projections. However, the tunnel cost is expected to be €5.08 billion, some €496 million less than originally estimated.
