Construction consortium conquers in contract for Moscow-St Petersburg highway section

A consortium has won a key construction and concession contract in Russia for a stretch of the Moscow-St Petersburg highway. The construction consortium comprises contractor Vinci and Russian Bank VTB. The deal involves around US$1.7 billion of public financing for the construction phase and some $983 million for operation for the period of the contract. A consortium has won a key construction and concession contract in Russia for a stretch of the Moscow-St Petersburg highway. The construction consortium comprises contractor 5177 Vinci and Russian Bank 3012 VTB. The deal involves around US$1.7 billion of public financing for the construction phase and some $983 million for operation for the period of the contract. The concession package involves construction of the highway section, as well as operation for a 24 year period. The construction work will be carried out between 2017 and 2017. The 139km highway section will feature four and six lanes at different stretches along its length and the project also involves the construction of 52 bridges in all.

    Bidding is strong for work on a key section of the Moscow to St Petersburg highway. Several offers have been made for the project, which will connect the Businovskaya and MKAD junction to Festivalnaya Street, and a junction of Festivalnaya Street and MKAD. Both Mostotrest and ARKS are tendering for the work. The tender results will be announced on 20th November 2012. The authorities have stated that the contract price should not exceed US$946 million.

    The Moscow authorities are holding a tender for building a section of Moscow - St.Petersburg highway. The project includes construction of a North Literal Highway section with 15 viaducts. The maximum contract price has been set at US $ 953.12 million (RUB 29.70bn). The tender results will be announced on 30 October 2012. The works must be implemented within 24 months. Mostotrest and Transstroy can take part in the tender. Engeocom is not going to participate.
